THE FLOWERS TODAY are given by Kathleen Viall in honor of Joe and Kathy Gallagher’s 40th wedding anniversary.

PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND THE Congregational Budget Meeting this morning during the 9:30 A.M. Sunday School hour to approve the 2018 proposed ministry budget.  Another agenda item is discussing and voting on the plan to sell the church property between the cleared church grounds and Lewis Lane.  Proceeds from such a sale would support necessary repairs to the church roof and façade.  Regular Sunday School classes will be held for children and youth at 9:30 A.M.

THE DIACONATE has provided two free Advent devotional booklets, “Christ is the Heart of Christmas” and “Jesus: God’s Promise”.  Please take either booklet from the Welcome Center this morning to help you and your family in your meditations as you prepare for Christmas.

A NEW SUNDAY SCHOOL ADULT ELECTIVE has begun.  The Rev. Dr. Douglas Hargis is leading a continuation of the New Testament Survey, beginning where the class left off previously.  Throughout the Advent season we will lift up Advent themes from 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians and Philippians.  Join us in Room B as we grow our faith in the knowledge of the Word of God.

ALL ANGEL TREE GIFTS should be returned today, unwrapped with the gift tag attached.  Thanks to everyone who has provided gifts for our Inter-Faith Housing Alliance family.

PASTOR GEORGE will be on vacation Dec. 11-16.

WE EXTEND CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY to Larry Davis, Harriet Rintz and family on the death of Janet on December 4 at Spring House Estates.  Janet used her musical gifts by singing in the choir, playing the piano, and leading the children’s singing in Sunday School for many years.  A graveside service was held on Friday at George Washington Memorial Park.

BOXES OF 2018 OFFERING ENVELOPES are in church mailboxes this morning.  Envelopes will be mailed to those without a church mailbox.  A few of you will find that your envelope number is different than last year’s.  Don Helpa, financial secretary, has reorganized the envelopes, enabling the church to order fewer unneeded envelopes and thus save money.

“REBUILDING, RESTORING, RENEWING PUERTO RICO” seeks to raise $1 million within the next 3-6 months through One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) to support rebuilding the homes, churches and lives of our brothers and sister in Christ.  Please give generously.  Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a big difference for our Puerto Rican American Baptist family.  Donations may be made via your church or via credit card online at abhms.org.  If donating by check, please make checks payable to American Baptist Home Mission Societies and put OGHS-PR and Grace Baptist of Blue Bell on the memo line.  Send to: ABHMS, Attn: Kim Wilkins, Puerto Rico Rebuild, P.O. Box 851, Valley Forge, PA 19482-0851.  One hundred percent of donations go to relief efforts; no dollars are retained for administrative costs.

PRESENCE TO MEET AT THE CHURCH IN DECEMBER – Would you like to celebrate the Advent season with the Presence small group?  We will meet at the church on December 14 and 21 to share dessert, prayer concerns, and Bible study.

THE WINTER “SECRET PLACE” (December, January, February) is still available at the Welcome Center.  Copies of the daily devotional booklet are $.50 each.  Please place your payment in the display container.

      • TO GIVE FLOWERS FOR A SUNDAY SERVICE, please contact Trish Simpson in the church office.  The current cost of an arrangement is $35.
